An office building located in the heart of London
The challenge:
Platinum maintains 77 Wardour Street as part of our service to Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM). During our trend monitoring processes, our management system, Demand Logic, identified a breach when the main AHU was running between 02:00 – 04:00 on seemingly random nights – this was logged as unexpected running of plant.
The Solution:
Platinum staff initially raised questions on the Symphony chat with the building’s users, to identify if anyone knew why the plant would be running. After delving into the strategy – and with input from the maintenance team – it was confirmed as ‘night purging’ – bringing in the cool night air to the floors in hot summer months.
The Results:
With this explanation for the behaviour, the strategy was updated to reflect this, and Demand Logic were informed that this was now an expected operation run-time.
