We produce a project plan that details the works that are to be carried out, alongside key milestones and timelines. Our approach is to fully liaise with your designers, consultants and specialist sub-contractors and prepare a contract strategy for each specific project. This ensures that work programmes are achievable and the best value for money.

We undertake detailed analysis to build an operational risk-profile for the environment, making sure the risk is reduced, or eliminated where possible. If at all possible, we will involve our own direct staff and our supply chain will budget for the defined scope of works in detail. Our approach is to carefully consider each project within the soft landings BSRIA framework. We provide detailed design and build project plans and use web-enabled Microsoft Project to provide live progress up-dating on a per project basis.
Throughout the project, we implement very high-quality controls by undertaking regular audits based on a defined work output checklist. The regular site meetings with the installers ensures communication is open and constructive, as we together interrogate our findings and find solutions. This open and frank approach with the project stakeholders benefits all parties, as the project will be successful if the agreed objectives are delivered as a team, on budget and on time. Communication is an effective method of relationship building with any project team, and regular meetings with minutes will often eradicate any concerns or misunderstandings. Our project team take real ownership in this area.
We pride ourselves on providing transparency within our project quotations, and they are broken down into, project management, labour, sub-service provider costs, materials, equipment, and overheads and profit. Our quotation and estimates will be submitted as a fixed price service.
The Platinum Projects division has a directly employed core with a range of skills and capabilities to assess any potential project to determine the plan required. Led by a Project Manager, the project is analysed to determine workload, impact, and timescales of delivery. The capabilities within the Projects team includes a range of experienced staff with technical qualifications and knowledge in the various trades.
This is further supported by the other business functions, for example Platinum Facilities’ Commercial and Health & Safety Departments.
Our single source service solution offers support to our customers by providing small office refurbishments, capital project works, plant life cycle analysis, utilizing the forward maintenance register, phased plant replacement and CAPEX planning for budget information. We regularly deliver a range of projects from boiler/chiller/AHU replacements, VRV System replacements, AC upgrades, BMS upgrades, compressor and pump replacements, lift refurbishment works, transformer replacements and generator system upgrades.
Our Condition Survey reports have evolved over a number of years, and the template is certificated to ISO 55001. The reports meet BMI/RICS as a minimum and provide validation of your assets, the risk to you and form the forward maintenance register. Our Condition Survey reports include:
Internal and external building fabric.
Building services, engineering plant and controls.
Specialist equipment and installations.
Furniture, fixtures and fittings.
Our Condition Survey reports meet statutory and legal requirements and detail anticipated repairs, replacement costs and replacement intervals. The schedule of work is prioritised based on asset criticality and includes an impact assessment on forward maintenance plant.
When providing quotations for replacement of equipment and systems we will provide a range of options that consider the whole life cost of ownership. This will include energy efficient alternatives, taking into consideration the energy consumption and disposal costs.
